Maintenance Plans

People often ask us why purchase a Maintenance Plan when their furnace or air conditioner is under warrenty. That's a great question.

So why should you consider a maintenance plan for your home's comfort system?

It's simple, a maintenance plan is not an extended warranty. In fact, a maintenance plan will ensure that the manufacturer’s maintenance requirements are met so that your comfort system will remain in warranty. Without documented annual maintenance, manufacturers are under no obligation to honor their own warranties.

Air Conditioning in East Peoria

A maintenance plan is a plan between you and your HVAC service provider wherein you pay a set fee to guarantee the company’s ongoing services for your HVAC system. You’ll also hear the terms HVAC maintenance contracts, service agreements, service program, maintenance program, and home comfort plans. These are all the same thing. At AirAce Heating & Cooling we offer a full-scale Maintenance Plan. We call it our Maintenance PlanPro.

With the most basic programs, the service plan includes a checkup and tune-up emphasizing your heating system at the start of the winter and air conditioning system before summer. Other maintenance plan programs include parts and services for problems found during those checkups. Some maintenance plans will even include emergency service. Typically, the highest-level maintenance plan gives options that can save you time and discomfort when your heater fails in the freezing cold or your air conditioner blows out in the heat of summer. Some companies offer tiers or levels for their Maintenance Plans. We want to keep options simple and clear. So, we offer one amazing Maintenance PlanPro that gives customers the best options for the best value. And, customers can pay yearly, bi-yearly, or monthly!

If you purchase a maintenance plan, you will be more likely to get an annual tune-up for your HVAC system. The technician will be able to change dirty filters and spot other problems that are impacting your home comfort system’s efficiency. Keeping your heating and cooling system maintained helps it work more affordably.

Hiring a qualified HVAC technician to inspect your system a few times per year means you can identify issues while they are still small and easy to fix. This means small problems don’t cause big damage to your home comfort system that requires a costly repair.

First, you should decide how much of the routine maintenance you are willing to perform. If you have the time and skills to do the necessary Fall and Spring Tune-ups on your heating and cooling system and your system is under warranty, you can do the recommended maintenance and skip an HVAC Maintenance Plan altogether.
